He had been watching Nvidia's chart since December, and it had a consistent 200-day moving average trend upward. As of January 3rd, it held above its 50-day moving average, bouncing off resistance points around $8.83 and $8.94 with minor pullbacks. The stock had a strong 150- and 200-day average uptrend.

A federal appeals court on Thursday rejected a request by Hunter Biden to toss the pending criminal gun case against him, saying that his appeal was premature. The ruling clears the way for Hunter Biden's trial in the case to start on June 3 in U.S. District Court in Delaware. Biden is the son of President Joe Biden. The appeals panel, whose decision was unanimous, did not rule on the merits of Biden's arguments that the indictment should be dismissed. If Biden is convicted at trial, he could renew the arguments for dismissal with the same appeals court that it declined to consider in its order Thursday.

LONDON (AP) — Sinn Fein Vice President Michelle O'Neill is poised to make history Saturday by becoming the first Irish nationalist leader of Northern Ireland as the government returned to work after a two-year boycott by unionists. Northern Ireland was established as a unionist, Protestant-majority part of the U.K. in 1921, following independence for the Republic of Ireland.
